Sue Adams – Committee Member (Independent)
I am Sue Adams and I have been an independent pharmacy contactor in North Staffordshire for over twenty years. I graduated from Nottingham University in 1986. I undertook my pre-registration training at The Royal Preston Hospital before moving into community pharmacy. I worked for a local pharmacy group of twenty pharmacies. When this company sold to a large multiple pharmacy chain I was able to take on one of the branches to run as an independent pharmacy. That was in 1991 and I am still here! I have just joined the LPC as I feel that times are becoming more difficult for pharmacists and if pharmacy is to progress as a profession it needs to communicate well in the ‘new NHS’. I feel I have the experience of independent pharmacy to add a valuable contribution to the LPC. On a personal note I am married to Neil. My hobbies mainly involve outdoor activities such as walking and playing golf.
