Store based pharmacist – Boots I have been qualified as a pharmacist for 14 years after studying at Nottingham university. During this time I have worked for Boots in various different roles, including store management, training and area support.  I began my career working as the Pharmacy manager of one our busiest health centre pharmacies in Bentilee. This has enabled me to have an understanding of local issues. My proudest moment in this role was winning the company Store of the Year competition in 2009. The following year I completed my postgraduate diploma and went on to become a pharmacy trainer. This specialised in developing the skills of pharmacists and support staff so that they can become more effective at delivering quality advanced and enhanced services concurrently with the traditional dispensing role. I have also worked as a Healthcare Development Manager which focused on forming relationships with external bodies to promote pharmacy services and support stores to deliver pharmacy business priorities. Currently I work as a store based pharmacist delivering NHS advanced and enhanced services as well as private vaccination services.  As the LPC chair I am keen on using these skills to ensure that the work of the LPC is focused and productive to best serve all the contractors in North Staffordshire and Stoke. Outside of work I have two young children so spending time with my family is important to me.
