Missing Palliative Care Claims

There are a number of pharmacies across Staffordshire who are signed up to the palliative care service  which are holding stock so that they can fulfil prescriptions for palliative care medicines.  Their details are on the LPC website, patient facing website and also shared with NHS111.

There is a small retainer paid annually to the pharmacies but this has to be claimed each year on the claim form.  We have been informed by NHSE that 14 pharmacies have not claimed the retainer for 2017-18 and that if these pharmacies complete the form and return it to NHS as soon as possible it can be paid this financial year.

If you are on the list above you can find the claim form in the SLA, it is Appendix A in the document and needs to be sent either in paper form or scanned and sent electronically to Andy Pickard (full details on the form).  You can download a copy of the SLA from the LPC website


A new SLA is dueout in March 2018 for 2018-19 and the claims system will move to PharmOutcomes – more information will be sent to pharmacies in due course.
